The Governor's Points of Light Awards recognize exemplary individual volunteers, non-profit organizations, corporate business volunteer programs, community leaders and national service members. Don’t wait until the last minute – in fact, if you submit your nomination by May 24, 2021, you could win a prize!

What are the nomination categories?The nomination categories for 2021 are:· Individual Volunteer (18 and older)· Individual Youth Volunteer (under 18)· National Service Member of the year· Nonprofit/Community Organization Volunteer Program· Business/Corporate Volunteer Program· Community Leadership Award· Lifetime Achievement AwardAll 3 finalists in each category will receive an award (gold, silver or bronze) at the Awards Ceremony in October.
When can I submit a nomination?Nominations will open on Monday, April 5, 2021 and remain open through the end of May. But please don’t wait until the last minute – plan to submit your nomination early!
When will the awards be presented?This year we hope to present the awards at an in-person reception along with live-streaming of the ceremony sometime in October 2021 (exact date and location TBD). This is subject to state mandated COVID restrictions and could be changed.
